In this first set of photos, I wanted to experiment with angles. I took photos of the same pinecones close up and far away. I like being able to think about it the way one does with real life: sometimes if you look at too big of a picture things are really blurry and you don't know where to start but if you focus on just a few things, you'll be able to find your way.
This was the Huron River taken from the bridge. I had actually never been on the bridge before so when I asked my mom if she wanted to take a trip down there she was excited. I was absolutely terrified of dropping my phone into the river, if I had to do this again, I absolutely would put my phone/camera on a strap.
This set of photos was taken in the backyard lake of a family friend up in Kalamazoo. There was a downed tree that I felt like told more of a story than anything else I had photographed for landscapes yet. I had to be careful not to focus too hard on taking the picture and risk falling into the lake.
This set of photos was taken while I was out on a walk to a friend's neighborhood. I loved the contrast that the rocks gave to not only the green grass but also the fall trees. I had to get creative to avoid the path I was walking on from being in the picture but I am very happy with the outcome.
